Week One Homework

Dear 2A Families,

Tomorrow (Tuesday 9/10) is Picture Day! Students may wear nice clothes (free dress) for their picture. Students will take pictures before recess.

Please return picture envelopes with your student in the morning. Additional forms are at the school office.

Also, a homework packet and a blue spelling list were sent home on Friday. If your child did not bring this home, please use the attached copy and print it to return on Friday. The spelling words are: cat, hat, lab, ham, mat, cap, fan, lap, crab, the, and, I. A practice test will come home every Thursday.

Homework

Weekly homework is distributed each Friday for an entire week.  In addition, one book report is assigned per trimester as well as a “menu” of choices to complete within the month.  There are three larger reports students will be directed to complete throughout the school year.

Weekly homework logs are due every Friday. Each week, students must do the following:

  • Read 20 minutes 2 nights per week.
  • Practice flashcards 1 night per week.
  • Complete 1-2 menu choices throughout the week.

Menu Choices are due at the end of each month.
